The Sekuens Agency, offers companies a range of information and advice services that can help in defining a business project, improving company management or finding business opportunities. In addition, they have a full range of grants and subsidies available for, among others, aspects such as investment, job creation, internationalisation, R&D&I, environment and energy efficiency, technology-based companies (EBTs), industry 4.0, etc.

What the support consists of:
Non-refundable grants for the costs of creation and start-up of technology-based companies (Phase I), for a maximum amount of €100 K.

Granting body:
Asturian Agency for Science, Business Competitiveness and Innovation.

What concepts/expenditure are eligible in this phase?
Fixed and current assets (technical personnel, materials, collaborations, acquisition of patents, protection of industrial property, etc.).

What requirements must be met?

• Eligible amount equal to or greater than €20 K.
• Estimated duration of the project of 12 months.
• They must relate to one of the topics highlighted in the fields of specialisation of the Asturias RIS3 strategy.

Who can be beneficiaries?

• Companies established in Asturias
• With a participation of scientific-technical partners in the share capital of the company equal to or greater than 25%, and that these partners are qualified personnel with 2 years of relevant professional experience and a full-time employment relationship with the company.
• The company must have been set up in the current financial year or in the two previous financial years.

• Co-financing of the investment by the company itself, its founders or third parties, with an amount of at least 25% of the financing
• Technical, financial, commercial and management viability.
• Promoter team involved in the project

What are the characteristics of the loans?

• Term: 4 to 6 years.
• Fixed interest: depending on the valuation of the project (between Euribor + 3% and Euribor + 4%).
• Variable interest: depending on the company’s results, with a maximum of 3 additional points over the fixed interest rate.

• No fees
